France 2 fait sa Nuit Super Bowl

Ce dimanche aura été sportif. Outre une finale de tennis qui opposait Rafael Nadal à Roger Federer sur les courts de l'Open d'Australie et la dispute pour le titre mondial de handball entre la Croatie et la France, cette nuit on pourra voir le Super Bowl. Le match, qui oppose les Steelers de Pittsburgh aux Cardinals d'Arizona, sera diffusé en direct sur France 2 à partir de 0h15. Avouons que l'événement fait largement moins la une que les autres, c'est normal : c'est du football américain et malgré les efforts constants des journalistes qui commentent le match pour nous expliquer les règles, cela reste globalement assez incompréhensible (mais c'est quand même moins compliqué que le base-ball). Et puis, à cause de la publicité vendue à prix d'or, le jeu s'arrête toutes les dix minutes, du coup, on s'ennuie ferme, parce qu'en France, on ne nous la montre pas. Il y en aurait beaucoup trop (surtout sur France 2 qui n'a plus le droit d'en diffuser avant 6 heures du matin) et il faudrait des tonnes d'écrans "intermédiaires" pour prévenir le téléspectateur qu'il n'est plus en train de regarder le match.

Or les publivores attendent toujours avec une certaine impatience les écrans qui passent avant le spectacle musical de la mi-temps (cette année, Bruce Springsteen) car ce sont théoriquement les plus originaux (et les plus chers). Par exemple, c'est au cours du Super Bowl de 1984 que l'on a pu voir la fameuse pub de Ridley Scott pour Apple. Et chaque année, on se demande quelle est la réclame qui va être sur toutes les lèvres le lendemain. Verdict demain matin, et nous, on se consolera de l'attente avec la performance de Springsteen qui, elle, sera diffusée en direct et (on l'espère) sans commentaire musical navrant des journalistes sportifs de la chaîne...

Les règles sont nombreuses, mais pas compliquées (certes, il faut un cerveau pour les comprendre, mais on remarquera que ça nous évite le hooliganisme dans les stades).

Sinon petite correction, le jeu ne s'arrête pas parce qu'il y a des pubs, mais il y a des pubs parce que le jeu s'arrête souvent.

Et effectivement, le match est assez inregardable sur France 2.

Il me semble tout de même que, si le jeu s'arrête en effet souvent et fonctionne ainsi, les arrêts de jeu sont particulièrement longs pour laisser du temps à la pub. Le Super Bowl dure d'ailleurs plus longtemps qu'un match de moindre importance non ?

Effectivement, pendant le Superbowl, les arrêts dans le jeu durent plus longtemps pour la pub, mais il n'y a pas plus d'arrêts de jeu.

Un match normal dure environ 3 heures, le Superbowl c'est plutôt 4 heures (mais pas uniquement à cause des pubs, la mi-temps est aussi plus longue de 10 minutes environ).
On notera d'ailleurs que ce Superbowl XLIII fut particulièrement bref (3h30 environ) en particulier parce que la première mi-temps et surtout le premier quart-temps furent très rapides.
